PlayStation 4 Supports PlayStation 3 Wireless Headsets

According to Polygon, a Sony rep confirmed, at the San Diego Comic-Con, that PlayStation 3 wireless headsets will work with the PlayStation 4.

While the PS4 will still ship with a wired earbud headset, what you get in the box is quite a simple mono device. This is great news for those of us you use Turtlebeach and other Gaming Headsets.

In contrast, Microsoft won't be including a headset with the Xbox One.  This is largely because you can use the compulsory Kinect to chat instead. As it currently stands, wired Xbox 360 headsets will not work with the Xbox One due to different ports on the new controllers, though the company has confirmed an adapter may become available in future.
